On Friday, September 26, Orange County Schools celebrated the Sixth Annual Hands for Habitat Kickoff event. The Hands for Habitat Partnership engages students in Orange County Schools in an ambitious service learning project designed to increase awareness of issues surrounding housing and affordability.
During the 2014-15 school year, construction students will build a Habitat Home. Classrooms at various grade levels throughout the district will engage in educational and service learning activities designed by Habitat for Humanity International to focus on housing issues that affect our community and world.
