The best of woodworking’s next generation were celebrated recently at the 2011 Fresh Wood Student Competition in Las Vegas, NV. This is an industry-sponsored event that is intended for serious woodworking students who are anticipating a career in the wood and related industries.
Cedar Ridge H.S. woodworking students were chosen as finalists and competed for top awards. Congratulations to (from L-R) Cole Leesnitzer, Third Place (table category); Eli Shultz, First Place (case goods category) and Tyler Spierdowis, Second Place (case goods category). Their instructor, Keith Yow, was honored as this year’s Freshwood Outstanding Instructor.
