Orange County Schools celebrates the arts throughout the K – 12 curriculum. Throughout history, the arts have been an integral part of the human experience. The arts have served to connect each new generation to the generations that have preceded them and through their place in our lives; they have become an irreplaceable part of the human journey.
Orange County schools has received a cARTwheels Grant to bring a performance to our students. The magic Flute will be performed next school year on March 28th, 2012 at Stanback Middle School auditorium.
The Magic Flute, performed by Opera Carolina presents an engaging young people's version of Mozart's masterpiece The Magic Flute. Prince Tamino rescues the beautiful daughter of the Queen of the Night, with the help of the birdman Papageno, only to learn that his true path to happiness is the pursuit of truth and wisdom. Performed in English, The Magic Flute is a masterpiece for all times.
