Orange County Schools' First Annual Cultural Explosion was held April 21, 2011 at AL Stanback Middle School. Central also held Culture Day that day. Students and staff dressed to represent different cultures.
A special event for the school's third graders was a visit by John Blackfeather Jeffries and the planing of their Three Sisters Garden.

Rebekah, a 4th grade Central Elementary student was the winner of the Cultural Explosion poster contest. Rebekah’s artwork will be featured on flyers and posters for the event on April 21st at AL Stanback from 6-8pm. The OCS School board voted her design as numero uno out of many entries received depicting this year’s theme of Connecting Cultures. The school board will recognize Rebekah with a certificate-way to go Rebekah!
