Our Administration
A Message from our Principal, Dr. Julie Vandiver

I am honored to have this opportunity to serve as the principal at Cameron Park Elementary. Cameron Park is a wonderful child-centered school with an incredible, hard working staff, and a supportive school community. I look forward to continuing and building upon the rich history and tradition for excellence that has been established at Cameron Park.
To help you know a little about who i am - I grew up in Charlotte, NC and moved to Greensboro, NC to attend college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and begin my teaching career. After 14 years of teaching at the elementary and secondary levels, I entered the Principal Fellows program (UNCG) and earned a Master's Degree in School Adminstration as well as a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, this is my 12th year as a school administrator. In addition, I serve as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Education Department. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing with Madison (my miniature schnauzer), traveling to the mountains and beach, and finding time to read and exercise.
I am very committed to being an instructional leader and I especially enjoy visiting classrooms, observing best practices, and nurturing teacher-leaders. I will help to ensure that all decisions and actions taken will be made by doing what is in the best interest of the students we serve. Building relationships with the students, staff and parents will be a primary focus of mine as we all work together to accomplish our goals. Together there are no limits to what we can achieve. Please feel free to contact me at the school at 919-732-9326 ex 40001 or e-mail me questions at Julie.Vandiver@orange.k12.nc.us
A Message from our Associate Principal, Mrs. Fran Hall
Serving our Cameron Park family is quite an honor. There is a
wonderful sense of warmth and enthusiasm within our school
community. Exciting things are happening here!
It is my belief that building strong, healthy relationships with teachers,
students, and parents leads to meeting each child’s total needs
academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. By continuously
striving to meet these needs, imminent success for our students is
more easily achieved. In order to build strong healthy relationships
communication is key.
At Cameron Park, we believe there are no limits to the learning potential
of all children.
