Business and Office Education

Business and Information Technology Education is a broad, comprehensive curriculum at the middle and high school levels that provides students with meaningful instruction for and about business. Instruction in Business and Information Technology Education encompasses business skills and techniques, an understanding of basic economics, and business attitudes essential to participate in the multinational marketplace as productive workers and consumers.

Digital Communications Systems
Grades 9-12 This course is designed to teach basic 21st century skills such as typing, speech recognition, and alternative input devices that are integrated with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and multimedia presentations. Students who did not pass the 8th grade NC Computer Skills Test will be encouraged to enroll in this course in preparation for the retake exam. Students who have successfully passed Computer Applications I or Computer Applications II are encouraged to seek another Business and Information Technology course before enrolling.
