There are more than 40 students from Orange High School and Cedar Ridge high School involved in the robotics team, and there are more than 10 adult mentors working with the team. Our team is composed of sub-teams that focus in the areas of robot construction, programming, electronics, animation, and imagery. You don’t need to know anything already in order to be part of the team. We have students and adults who will help teach you what you need to learn in order to be part of the team. You don’t have to come to all of the meetings in order to be part of the team. You just have to be focused on working to meet our goals when you come to the meetings. Come and check us out!
We are currently meeting twice a week. We receive our project objectives and the rules for the new robotics game during the January 8, 2011 at a kickoff event at the state fairgrounds. Then we will meet 5 or 6 days a week during the building period from Jan. 8, 2011 to Feb 22, 2011.
